Strawberry Festival June, 2023
We had another wonderful Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 24th. In spite of the drizzly rain about 40 people attended. Thank you to everyone who got out and enjoyed the strawberries!
It was a delightful evening inside the Hawthorne House with an insightful presentation by Chris Hanson of the Raymond Code Enforcement office. He spoke passionately about the major egregious shoreline violation on Raymond Cape that emerged back in autumn, 2022. It is an important issue for which we should all be concerned.
If you missed the presentation or don’t know the story, please click here to read the Lewiston Sun Journal article, “Auburn businessman facing millions in fines for alleged shore line violations at Sebago Lake” published September 22, 2022. Thank you Chris for your important presentation about a difficult and unfortunate situation.
After Chris’s talk we enjoyed delicious strawberries and shortcake plus whipped cream and don’t forget! Scrumptous chocolate covered strawberries courtesy of Migis Lodge.
A good time was had by all! Please enjoy the photos below:
