The Mission Statement of the Hawthorne Community Association
The purpose and mission of the Hawthorne Community Association is:
- To perpetuate the memory of Nathaniel Hawthorne and preserve the building in Raymond, Maine, which was his boyhood home.
- To honor the memory of the early settlers of the community who worshipped in that building.

To foster and maintain friendly relations among both the permanent and temporary residents of the community.
