Until we reach our goal of $75,000 any donation is considered a capital campaign contribution and includes an honorary membership until June 30, 2023. Your donation and your membership means that you are supporting an important, iconic symbol of Maine history and of American literary history.

We have established an attractive “Giving Tree” for permanent display in the Hawthorne house entry area and will be pleased to add the names of all donors who give at the following levels unless they express a desire to remain anonymous. The donation categories are:
Platinum – Over $500
Gold – $200 to $499
Silver – $$50 to $199
Regardless of your contribution level, we will acknowledge each gift with a letter of thanks that will also serve as your receipt for tax purposes. Please ensure we have your address if you mail your contribution. Also indicate how you would like your name or family name displayed on the plaque.
