It Was a Wonderful Afternoon Walking Down Memory Lane: Raymond Cape – As it Once Was…

It was a wonderful Sunday afternoon – September 17, 2023

We were at capacity in the Hawthorne House and everyone had a wonderful time.  Brad McCurtain did a super job as Master of Ceremonies and the microphone made the rounds to many voices and nostalgic stories.  People shared stories of land purchases, boating adventures, Frye’s Leap, and especially stories of Camp Wohelo and Camp Wawenock.  We are lucky and grateful that we could share and record memories and history while there are still folks around who remember the good old days.  Special thanks to Greg Plummer for recording the event and zooming in on the speakers.  The video will be posted somewhere, sometime soon.

And thank you to everyone who contributed to the  pot luck supper.  Everything was delicious!

Please enjoy the photos below.  And – click on this link – to enjoy the photos of yesteryear that were on display as we shared stories.

Together we have recorded a wealth of memories of Raymond Cape…as it once was.
